2nd International Competition for Young Choir Conductors – Preveza 2025

Never have I ever thought that I will join a conducting competition. Since I would be 35 in 2025, and that’s the age limit to register to this competition, my friends supported me and said I should give it a try. I did. And voila, I got accepted!

I knew immediately that I am not going to win the competition since I was the only participant with no formal education background in conducting, but I don’t care since I believe it will be a wonderful opportunity to learn from great people. I am so grateful that I was given the chance to participate in this event! I learned a lot from my peers and made some good friends too.

And Preveza, I fell in love with you! Such a beautiful city, delicious food, and most importantly, lovely people! I might return to this city someday. This two photos were taken from my room at Preveza City Comfort Hotel. Beautiful sunset at 9PM everyday…and I just love the birds that chirp every morning around my hotel room’s balcony!

Enjoying the incredible views, delicious food, and the wonderful atmosphere of this beautiful place.

The most amazing thing is, I am super lucky to have the opportunity to be part of this competition—which to me felt more like an educational event than a real competition—and grateful to made some new wonderful friends.

Here are some photos of the city and the event, with some photos of my quick trip to Athens:
